Welcome to the website of SaNam LLC, producers of Ultra Premium Cabernet Sauvignon	SaNam LLC was founded in 1998 by two people who shared a vision to produce very high quality Cabernet Sauvignon in Lake County. In 1996 they began their search for the right piece of land to start their venture. Two years later, with a little help from their friends, they were successful and found a small charming Sauvignon Blanc vineyard at the end of its useful life, just by Cache Creek, in Clearlake California. Its owner had decided that after running the vineyard for more than a quarter of a century, he was ready to retire. We knew that our search had come to an end, when we saw the beautiful red soil,
the bright blue skies and the gentle slope of the vineyard. This is where we founded Sonatina Vineyard. By 1999, the first Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted. Each year proved to be a new challenge, from choosing our rootstock and clone varieties and designing the layout of the new vineyard in the early days, to battling winter kill and finding ways to discourage the deer and birds from hurting our crop. But we persevered, and despite the recent difficult period for California vineyard owners, each year Sonatina has produced better quality Cabernet Sauvignon grapes than the previous year.
